Gathering in Atlanta
The sun is shining. It's warm outside. And over 250 church leaders are on their way into the building here at Westridge Church for a day of workshops.
Kem and Mark seem calm, cool and collected--but I always get a few butterflies in my stomach before speaking. It is a mixture of feelings...I am humbled by the opportunity, grateful for my church, carrying a huge sense of unworthiness, excited to hear stories from other churches, in awe that people would drive across the state, wondering why people drove across the state, can't wait for it to start, can't wait for it to finish, and so on.
Typically the butterflies stop moving about 10 minutes after I start, so hopefully today will be no exception. If you are at Westridge today, blog about your experience and leave me a link in the comments below!
