Although my official title is executive pastor at Granger Community Church--my role is all about finding high capacity people with great hearts and getting them the resources they need so together we can help people meet Jesus. I really believe I lead the greatest staff on the planet, and my joy is in helping them hit the ball out of the park. In my spare time, I get the privilege of writing books and teaching workshops to help leaders of other churches learn from our mistakes and successes.
Love it! Love the old leather bible feel as a backdrop... This might sound a little weird but the weak spot in the title text feel like the church image in the "ur."
I really like the look of this. I like that it appears to be on an old-timey leather bible cover--it elicits thoughts of church and faith--at least for me.
You mentioned that this is just a mock-up, so I understand there will be changes underway. I wanted to point out that a few of the pictures are found on other books, which made me think more of those other books than this one. My point is this: I think you should take original pictures so as not to detract from this book.
With original artwork and the look of this cover, I would buy this book at first glance. Very well done.
It looks great. My sister and I were talking about this very subject when we were home for Christmas. I told her about the book you are writing and recommended she read it.
You should see how much it would up the cost of the book to see if you could get the cover made out of that fake leather, so that it looks more like a leather bound NIV, as an alternative to the standard hard cover / paperback.
Maust did a great job on this. Looking forward to seeing it on the shelves.
Awesome!!! I speak from my Art Director point of view, this book looks amazing, this cover really cast what the subtitle says. I'm going to ask my friends in the US bring one of that to Barcelona (Spain) for me to read it, we need to know and learn a lot about how engage the pop culture. Congratulations Tim!
That book cover is sweet! Seeing the cover has reassured that I can't wait to read the book. I know that it will catch the eyes of many in a Barnes & Nobles or Borders.
Tim, it really pops, man. I love it. Simple, yet compelling. Congrats on the book. Can't wait to read it.

VERY NICE! Having read your post about what the content of the book will be, it seems the cover fits very nicely.
Great concept. Well executed. I'm stoked for its release.

This is GREAT, Tim.
I think it's a keeper. And I don't judge books by it's cover *cough cough* but this one works for me dude.
I'll be adding this one to my "must reads of 2008."
