About Me

  • Although my official title is executive pastor at Granger Community Church--my role is all about finding high capacity people with great hearts and getting them the resources they need so together we can help people meet Jesus. I really believe I lead the greatest staff on the planet, and my joy is in helping them hit the ball out of the park. In my spare time, I get the privilege of writing books and teaching workshops to help leaders of other churches learn from our mistakes and successes.

Christmas Eve...According to John, Paul, George & Ringo

The truth about Christmas Eve services at Granger...

    • Included kite flying and ribbon twirling by professional kite-flyers and ribbon-twirlers.
    • Multi-sensory.
    • Three stages built in the crowd throughout the auditorium.
    • A 10' high, fiber-optic, star floating out above the audience.
    • Amazing choreography by more than 30 cast members.
    • A guest appearance by the Culps.
    • The story of Joseph and Mary and baby Jesus using the songs of the Beatles.
    • Attended by more than 10,500 people -- a record.

Tim, I'm loving watching the Christmas Eve service at GCC. It's really great thus far. However, the video has stopped and reset about half way through the last 3 times I've tried to view it. I'm dying to see the end. Anyone else having trouble with it or is the problem on my end? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

This was such an incredible service for many different reasons. The creative arts and tech teams did an excellent job. Musical arrangements and transitions were phenomenal. I'm so thankful to be a part of a church that understands that services need to include as many senses as possible.

    Tim -

This is one of the most creative retellings of the Christmas story I have ever seen. I can tell a lot of time and energy went in to make this happen. Simply incredible.

I watched with particular interest as our church has Ken Mansfield, the Beatle's former manager, coming in March 2008.

    Thanks for sharing!

Only one problem I had with it... I wasn't there. Stellar job Tim. I'm lovin it.
