  • Although my official title is executive pastor at Granger Community Church--my role is all about finding high capacity people with great hearts and getting them the resources they need so together we can help people meet Jesus. I really believe I lead the greatest staff on the planet, and my joy is in helping them hit the ball out of the park. In my spare time, I get the privilege of writing books and teaching workshops to help leaders of other churches learn from our mistakes and successes.

    Two New Parenting Phases Begin Today

    A couple new parenting phases begin today...

    1. Today is the first day we've ever sent a kid off to high school. The next school day that I won't be sending a kid to high school will be August 2019. That's right Corey Mann, for the next 12 years you will have one of my kids in Lifeline.
    2. Today is the first day since April of 1993 that Faith will have the house to herself for over 7 hours. (Taylor, pictured below, began 1st grade this morning.) I may have to head home occasionally for a lunchtime quickie (you know, those microwaveable pizzas).

    Any advice from parenting veterans out there?
