Boooyahhh
This morning I found this on my 17-year old daughters’ blog…
I will never forget my freshmen year, when one of the senior girls on my team told me that no one ever leaves Penn High School a virgin. That conversation keeps coming back to me, and I really just want to go up to her and say something to the effect of: “You were WRONG! I’ve been at Penn for 37 months. I have 8 months left. boooyahhh.”
As her father, I am also saying “boooyahhh!”

I feel sorry for the Senior that told her that. I feel sad that no one ever loved her enough to tell her she is worth that wait. It must be sad to life through life with that no of self-esteem. You daughter is amazing and hopefully she will be positive role-model to other girls.

Tim: Ain't nothing sweeter than knowing this about your daughter. I had two with one still unmarried and still a virgin at 35. Some day, if God so chooses, she will be able to present herself to her husband as a pure bride. Congrats on taking the personal interest in Heather and your other one (just two right?) to raise them to practice their faith.

Hey Tim,
I was a long time ago somewhat skeptical and critical of seeker type churches such as Granger (and still have some reservations) but I must say I really can't argue with the fruit in your family. I have loved reading your daughters blogs and it's clear that you and your wife have put a lot of effort into bringing your kids up in the faith and the fruit is there to see. My wife and I don't even have kids yet, but if my daughter turned out like Heather has, I'd be overjoyed. Whichever guy ends up marrying Heather will always need to be at the top of his game!
I just wanted to write this to encourage you and your family!

How sad for that senior. I also graduated Penn High School a virgin. I think most teenagers have a really skewed idea of what all their peers are doing. I think more virgins graduate from that high school than she realized!

I graduated from high school a virgin too. I was even a virgin on my wedding night and so was my husband, and that's even more rare, even among Christians.

My wife and I were virgins on our wedding night also. I'm still amazed at how rare that is. I pray my kids will be too.

As a dad of two daughters, I couldn't agree more! Nice work!
