90-Seconds of Oh My
In 90-seconds, a young artist will move you to tears and make you think twice the next time you get in your car. I wonder if we can communicate the Gospel this effectively?

@JakeSchwein
I sure hope so…i would hope that we put in time, energy and creativity to the message of Jesus!

To be able to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this way means that the communicators of the Gospel have to embrace the way the culture listens – music, visual, very little (if any) words spoken or printed.

wwwwooeh. that was good. I think it'd be great if we could communicate that. I can't think of how to, tho. I wonder if it's so deep that it has to be seen & lived to be understood fully. I LOOOOVE the idea of a short video communicating the truth, but I'm not convinced that short video is the proper medium to communicate the gospel (I'm not sure either way, but hope that it is possible).

We're currently doing a book review of Delivering Happiness the new book by Tony Hsieh CEO of Zappos. One of their key, self-identified successes and core values is delivering WOW through service. That's what this video does; it boils down to the most personal reason to wear a seat belt. What if we spent more time as Christians, delivering what it means to receive God's love by pouring it into the lives of others? Think about it this way. The Gospel is the Good News, why aren't we living it out more, delivering it in actions? Why are we content to let it sit in the news rack next to USA Today in the lobby of the Denny's? Are we fulfilling our potential in delivering God's WOW?

This relies on a frame of reference that everybody in the USA has — driving, or at least sitting, in a moving car. What frame(s) of reference can we create that people who need to know the Lord will understand as innately?

When I responded to the gospel as a teenager in 1969 I was in circumstances that were totally different from what I was used to. I was at camp. The gospel was presented to me by a man I didnt even know or for that matter, even like and who dressed and spoke differently than I did. I wasnt very interested in what he was saying nor was I very comfortable sitting in these surroundings. I didn't even like the music I was hearing that night. But guess what, the Holy Spirit spoke to me. Against all odds in unfavorable circumstances, he spoke to me and not because of anything I did either.

That was stinkin awesome bro. Images, music and creativity…things we all use, it just takes some great ideas sometimes and well, maybe for most of us we just stop too soon before we get that great idea.
