A Story Auction for Shuttle Buses
A “story auction”? What the heck is that?
Here’s the deal. We are selling our shuttle buses. Our original plan was to sell them on the open market and get as much money as possible (in order to invest the money into a replacement vehicle). However, last week we decided to launch a “Story Auction” for the buses. Here’s how it works.
- Using this form, make a bid for a shuttle bus (or both if you’d like).
- Your bid must include the price you will pay AND a compelling story of how the bus will be used.
- We will choose the winner(s) based on a combination of the bid and the story. It’s possible we’ll be moved by a story and ignore the bid altogether!
- We are providing specific information on the shuttle buses–as well as information on how to arrange for an on-site visit if you’d like.
- Don’t delay–the Story Auction ends on April 15th!

My name is Pastor Cuttino Dargan, I'm one of the partner intercity Churches with Christian Life Center.. Our need for the buses is great but finances is small. As we witness to the families in the projects, , if we only had a bus to take the children on some trips, so that they can see something else beside so much crime, drugs, and prostitution. We have been picking up women from the batter women shelter, after winning one of them (sister Lisa) to the Lord. Our Church is Gethsemane Church of God in Christ: 14 South Hatfield Street; Dayton, Ohio 45417. We are willing to offer $800.00 and that's the best we can do at present. I can be reach (937)416-4654 cell or (937)263-2615 home, (937)262-9146 Church.

Pastor Dargan — go ahead and fill out this information using the "form" link above in the article. That is the only way we are considering bids. Thanks!

pastor stevens, my name is manny and i wanted to let you know your internet ministry is great. Its reaching people that you never intended to reach. While looking for a shutlle bus to purchase, your site came up (search words: auction, shuttle bus) . This is a great thing you did with the buses. I hope they found the right home for a well deserving person/church/company/ministry. Your site has my attention and i look forwarding to reading more on your ministry and your blogs and posting. .

i hope you dont mind me sharing a little bit about myself, there will be alot missing since it took awhile for things to happpen thats how he taught me patience. i'll start with when i had no car and no job(4 years ago). My father let me borrow one of his old cars which overheated continously. One time it left my 9 yr daughter and i stranded on the side of the freeway where there was a steep embankment. We hiked up the embankment to use a telephone since i could not afford a cell phone at that time. I called everyone i could, family, friends, old friends. the soonest anyone could get to us was about an hour and a half even though some of my family live 15 minutes away from our location. So the only thing we could do is wait. We went back to the car down the embankment and my daughter slipped and fell on her knees. she scraped both knees and instantly started to cry. I felt so helpless and just started crying with her. I asked where he was, we needed him

. We prayed and cried and held on to each other on that enbankment and turned to God and asked him whole-heartedly to make the hurt stop. He taught to me humility and to turn things over to him on that embankment . An older couple that were heading out of town stopped and took us into their van, it felt as if god himself was embracing us and letting me everything was going to be ok. They had bandages and water for my daughter and were willing to delay their trip to give us a ride home. Penny is the ladie's name and with her soft gentle hands helped my daughter. Things changed from there, i started putting trials and problems in god's hands and there was never a challenge that was too big, because they dont come through me anymore. they go through him. i praise god for everything that come into my life good or bad, and its been such a better life.

I started my business soon after with a lot of resistance and difficulty from family, friends and money(lol) but i had so much faith. It was long road but god was always there (i felt). It took patience( alot of patience) but i already had humility and faith in him. We work hard, we've donated limos to several people and organizations that god touched our hearts. He sent a special person to help me, now its my turn to help and also to let them know its going to be ok. My cars dont overheat anymore and i dont get stranded anymore. I actually have 2 different limos to choose from instead of having to borrow a car. My god and i communicate all the time, in different ways. It feels really great to actually know in my heart that i am expanding a business that he gave me, i never forget that 3-4 years ago i was on an embankment with my daughter crying and praying. Right now im trying to purchase a shuttle bus to put in my small little company. i am glad that i am trying to expand and trying to get a bus or else i would have never came accross your site. Keep up the internet ministry…..sorry i just looked back and that was long

Dear Mr. Stevens: I just came across your story auction and am wondering if it indeed ended on April 15 or not. We are a 7 children family and had a shuttle bus that was totalled 2 months ago when a man ran a red light and hit us (as I was making a left-hand turn) going 60-65 mph. I am so grateful we were in a shuttle bus since at that speed he may have killed one of us in any other vehicle.
With seven children and half of them are teenagers now, we loved the bus since our children could bring anyone of their friends with them when we go places. I have used it to take teens to homecoming and Christian concerts, etc. The gentleman who hit us only had limited insurance and no way near covers the cost of our bus and we also had a veggie conversion kit in the back that was great. Our insurance has been low-balling us and we have been riding with 9 people in an 8-passenger car. No one is giving us a rental and I really do not want to go to court to get an adequate replacement for our bus.

Part 2:
Well, to get to the point, if it is still going on, how do I get information? I went on the look at option and couldn't pull anything up. If, by God's Will, the buses are gone, well, praise Him! Thank you so very much for your time and may Our Lord Jesus bless you in the work you do for His glory. God bless!
