You Should Hire This Guy
Two difficult decisions in the past week both have to do with my friend, Adam Tarwacki. The first decision was last Monday when I had to tell him we no longer could afford his position. Adam has been my assistant for more than three years–we work closely and have had a great working relationship and friendship.
The second difficult decision is writing this post. Why? Because I'm suggesting you may want to hire Adam, and in doing so, I realize that means he may move out of the area. But I'm gonna let God be God and tell you about him anyway.
So here are some of the reasons you should hire Adam…
- You'll never find anyone friendlier or better with guests.
- Adam is an artist. He is good with photography and graphic design.
- If you've ever seen a presentation I've delivered, Adam was the creative genius behind it.
- He can diffuse any tense situation.
- Adam knows Apple computers inside and out.
- He is loyal.
- He "gets" the local church. He knows why we do what we do and is committed to it.
- He's incredibly creative, a great brainstormer.
- He has the spiritual gift of serving. He would rather serve others than serve himself.
- His smile is contagious.
- He tells great stories. I think an untapped gifting in Adam is public speaking.
- Adam is a good personal teacher / trainer.
- This guy plays drums and looks like he's having fun while he's playing. He is most comfortable when he's hanging with other musicians.
Beyond all of that, Adam was my assistant for three years and served me well. I never once saw him grumpy or negative. Even the day I had to let him go, he had a smile on his face. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and whoever gets him next will be highly fortunate.
I don't know what role you are trying to fill, but if you think Adam might be a fit–you should give him a call…

Do I get to be first? Awesome – because Adam is a good friend of mine. Everything Tim said is true – including the part where he would hate to see Adam move from here. So would I.
And seriously – don’t hold the Apple thing against him.

Adam is awesome! Let’s not forget that he’s also brilliant actor ( http://gallery.me.com/benslife#100292&view=grid&bgcolor=black&sel=0 ). He’s an amazing friend and an amazing dude. Hire him!

I wish people knew just how great of an opportunity it is to have a shot at getting Adam right now. He would help elevate the overall operation of a church or organization a great deal. Thanks for doing this, Tim.

I would like to add that he is really nice to strangers. I met Adam at Innovate 08 at Granger while working for faithHighway. He had a few questions about what faithHighway does and wanted to see our stuff. I know Granger – they have their web presence down pat and do not need my help (they have staff people for that). But Adam said that is brother was helping a church plant and they might need some help. Adam gave me is card and asked me to call him later to give me is brothers info. When I called Adam the following week he was very nice and gave me his brothers info. I am just saying that alot of times people are good people when they know they are being watched, if they are with “important people”. Adam didn’t know me from “Adam” and was very nice and even tried to get me work from his brother. I only spoke with Adam for a few minutes face to face and a few minutes over the phone, but he was a very genuine person and went out of his way to help me, and his brother out. Hire this guy and pay him a good amount of money… you will be blessed if you do !

I think that was very nice to write that about him. I only wish someone could’ve done that for me when I was let go.

Sorry to hear that Adam is being let go. I know God will provide a wonderful opportunity for him in the future. I have known him for many years and know him to be as genuine a person, friend as the above description. Good luck and God bless!

Adam is the bomb. The real deal. We were all lucky to work with him. I’ve never met anyone like him. A hole that cannot be filled. Thanks for honoring him, Tim.
