Calling All Blog Designers
Okay, here’s the deal. I started my blog in July 2007. I’ve written 818 posts, accepted 3,905 comments, have 3,347 subscribers and welcome around 20,000 unique visitors each month.
But in all that time, my blog design has remained virtually unchanged. Every now and then I get crazy and bold an entire phrase. If I’m really feeling creative, I use italics or even indent a paragraph.
I’m fairly sure those of you who read this don’t really care. Most of you read the posts through a RSS reader and so you never even see the design.
But I care. I’m tired of it. And it’s tired of me.
So I’m looking for a blog designer who would like to redesign my blog within Typepad. Anyone out there want fame and prestige? Well, you probably won’t get it from me, but you will get a little bit of exposure. And I even have a small amount of money set aside for this project (did I say small?).
Interested? Send me a proposal. I’ve got some ideas–and I’d like to see your portfolio.
Leave a comment below or drop me an email tstevens(at)gccwired.com.
Hurry, before my blog looks as bad as this advertisement. Bad design makes my stomach churn.

Hey Tim,
I’ve been following your blog for quite a while now and love getting the chance to read your stuff. I actually went to the Echo Church Media Conference this past year when you were there. Me and my business partner have been starting up a design business since August 2008. It’s called One Passion Designs. If you are up for it, I believe we could redesign your blog for you. This would also be some great exposure for us as well. We are still working on our own personal site, but if you need any examples or references, let me know. We would love to be able to tackle this project for you.

Tim,
I’ve heard your cry for a new a blog design and we’d love to work with you if you haven’t already selected another designer. You can look at our work on our website, but obviously this would be completely custom for you. No problem regarding the small budget either, we’d be honored to design your blog. You can shoot me an email or give me a call if you are interested, 405-808-4204. God bless!

Will you post your progress. I’m wanting to build a better blog also.
Thanks, your blog is one of the best I read. I use your info and links continuously with my leadership team.
Keep up the good work

blog design has gone pretty sophisticated now and also pricey… I would highly recommend Brad Ruggles (http://www.bradruggles.com) for a blog redesign (although he probably isn’t going to do the project for a limited budget, he is to sought after, but still).

I can see your reasoning for wanting to change… but I have to admit that I love your clean, simple design here. Always have. And I also admire your cool headshot that none of us other smart leaders could ever nail.

Hey Tim,
I left a post last week on this post and had a friend notice it and suggested that I should send you to a link of some work that One Passion Designs has done. Well we have a facebook page with some designs on it that you can check out if you are interested.

The funny thing is, for the right person, the vitamin advert would make the basis of an interesting theme. It’s hard to find things that really stand out. I decided to go for a drab gray color, and then let the posts stand out on their own.

Hola.
I love your blog. It was very nice to read.
I wonder how I didn’t find this blog before.
I will surely share. Many of my Facebook friends will like it.
Cheers and keep up the good work!
